International System of Units:

The abbreviation of the International System of Units is known as the SI Units. We cannot possibly measure the lengths of objects in markers, rubber bands, paper clips etc. So, people came up with standard measurement units.

Here are some examples:

For length, we use metres(m).

For mass, we use kilograms(kg).

For time, we use seconds(s).

For thermodynamic temperature, we use kelvin(K).

For luminous intensity, we use candela(cd).

For amount of substance, we use mole(mol).

Question:

Q: What is thermodynamic temperature?

A: It is the absolute value of temperature and the temperature measured is based on the amount of heat in the surroundings.

Here is a cool video about SI Units, enjoy! ;D
